Solving data projects regularly requires a large group of people to work together. Those at Sngular include data scientists, data engineers and data managers (short for data project managers). In our data teams we often include software engineers and computational linguists as well.
Data managers are in charge of planning and executing the data project from its inception to completion. This includes planning and managing the people, resources and the scope of the project. Data managers also interface with other stakeholders of the project.
Data Scientists pull data, analyze it, carry out experiments, represent the results with visualizations, and communicate the results to the data manager.
Data engineers design and maintain databases, set up big data platforms, and often build production-level algorithms that they implement on production servers so that they can be applied to a large amount of observations.
